Since the establishment of Ford Thailand in 1996, Ford has continued to invest and expand its production base in Thailand and now has two plants, Ford Manufacturing Thailand (FTM) and Automotive Alliance of Thailand (AAT) in Rayong Province, to meet the needs of the Thai as well as export markets. According to the Thai government's strategic plan, Thailand will be built as a center for automobile manufacturing and export in the future. Therefore, a recent Thai media report said that the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck is expected to be put into production in Thailand and exported to neighboring countries.

We are proud of the role Ford has played in driving automotive development in Thailand over the past 25 years," said Wichit Wongwattanakarn, Managing Director of Ford Thailand. The combination of world-class production technology and Thai talent have both made Thailand a truly world-class vehicle production base."

Meanwhile, Wichit also said that the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck is expected to land in Thailand, although future government policies and facilities such as charging stations will have to be observed, and if all conditions are met, the vehicle will be produced in Thailand.
